This is my 3rd Rock Band guitar. My first (wired) controller ended up with a broken whammy bar that I fixed myself. My second (wireless) is okay, but the tilt sensor has never worked.
The Rickenbacker continues the cycle – the strum bar doesn’t like working in both directions, and the tilt sensor doesn’t work at all. Worse, the manufacturers return process is such a pain in the rear that I’m just going to try fixing the damn thing when I get some free time.
It’s one saving grace is that it looks really good. It makes a fine prop for the Rock Band man cave.
So – $100 for a prop = lousy deal.

The Rickenbacker is a great guitar. Most of the guitars that came with the original Rockband were made poorly and didn’t last. I am female, and 52 years old and on my 6th guitar I have worn out. I play on Expert and Hard on Breakneck Speed.
I have to say the Gretsch Guitar is more precise, but this one is excellent too.
It feels more like an instrument than a toy.
Of course, I want all of them.
What a wonderful game for family and friends to enjoy without killing or shooting things in a game.

The Rickenbacker is really nice. Very good appearance and quality. Compared to some of the earlier controllers, this is easy to play and works flawlessly.

Guitar works extremely well and is very quiet. Fret buttons are flush with the fretboard which may be an issue for some. Does rattle slightly due to moving parts inside for vertical tilt detection when triggering overdrive. Otherwise a great replica and solid quality item. Item also detachable guitar head for helping with storage.
